Valentines DIY

Valentines is my favorite holiday to get creative. I love it for many reasons; the simplicity, the colors, the sweetness of a love note. Valentines day is a way to celebrate love and friendship with minimal effort. I never feel the pressure to show up to this holiday like I do at Christmas or Thanksgiving. February is also my birthday month so I am all smiles this time of year. As far as getting creative, Valentine's Day was the first time I began sharing my artwork ever. My daughter was in preschool and it was her first valentines exchange. Like many "firsts," I was extra. I painted the sweetest donut valentines and paired it with a bag of miniature homemade donuts. It was a big hit with the three year olds so it has become a tradition to create one of a kind Valentines cards for my children's class. I plan to keep up with this tradition as long as it brings joy. Just a little way I take the opportunity to create for my family and friends.
