Party like there's NO MANANA!!

BurtMan, Bubby, Bubbs, Burt, Bubbers, Burton has turned one!! I can not believe how crazy fast this past year has gone by. It seems like yesterday we were moving into our new home, while also welcoming our new baby boy that same week. NEVER do that. Having a new baby while moving into a new "old" home, post cesarean section was no bueno. Way too many renovation projects needed and no time for nesting.

I saved up for the iPad Pro/Apple Pencil combo and love how easy it was doodling on Burt's picture for the invitation. I traced a picture of a sombrero and placed it on BurtMan's head. Below is the back of the invitation.

"FEED ME TACOS" an easy creation using the Cricut Explore and some iron on material. I sewed the the shorts as well, no pattern, a bit snug and yes the seam ripped by the end of the party.

Giant taco and "U-N-O" pinatas made from cardboard boxes, party streamers and lots of tape. Oh, and HOURS of time. My heart almost broke watching tiny humans smash this beast of a taco as it was bleeding candy.

Hand stamped cactus drop cloth...resulted in green cactus imprints all over our backyard pavers. Thankfully the pressure washer got it all off.

ANNNNND my cake fail. This is what happens when you attempt a colored layer cake, at 3 am the night before the party and you only have one 8 inch round cake pan. This was a slow and miserable death. His smash cake was smashed before he laid his chubby lil baby hands on it.

Awe, look at Bubs. Allllllll the heart eyes!

Easily one of the most fun parties I have thrown and the most exhausting.

P.S. The birthday boy, the hubs and I must have caught a bug because we all spent the next morning throwing up. Looking forward to next year when we just take him to Chik-fil-A and get him his free ice cream.
